Tehran, along with its proxies, has been using psychological warfare in the war with the US and Israel. Experts say the number of fake text messages, cyberattacks and phishing emails sent to people in the Gulf states and beyond have ramped up since the start of the war, in a bid to sow panic among Iran’s enemies.
